Wart Removal Magic

Just what is a wart? According to WebMD, a wart is a skin growth caused by some types of the HPV (human papillomavirus) virus. HPV infects the top layer of skin, causing it to grow rapidly, forming a wart. Common warts typically grow on the hands, while plantar warts grow on the soles of the feet. And the creepy part is that by touching the wart and touching another body part, the virus (and wart growth) can be spread across the same individual or to other individuals.

In addition, warts come in various shapes and sizes and some people are more likely to have warts than others. Last, many warts don’t need any treatment and some will actually go away by themselves. But, if the wart is painful, spreading or in a particularly public area, you may want to try some type of wart removal. Just remember that wart treatment doesn’t always work; while the treatment may destroy the wart, it will probably not kill the virus that causes the wart in the first place.

So how can we remove unwanted warts? There are always home remedies such as applying salicylic acid, garlic, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, witch hazel, aloe vera or duct tape. In addition, a physician can inject the wart with a destructive agent, remove it surgically or freeze it (cryotherapy). And don’t underestimate the power of the mind! The American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis, Volume 35, Issue 1, 1992 states that some hypnotists maintain that success rates of hypnotic wart removal can reach up to 80 percent. The exact psychogenic mechanism remains a mystery, and a professor at the George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences in Washington indicates that hypnosis cannot just cure, but can also cause warts!

This means that you need to make certain when you arrange for hypnosis or other subliminal assistance with wart removal to specify that the wart be eliminated and not multiplied. One online hypnotherapist says that while she doesn’t claim to cure, hypnosis unleashes the “mini-superhero inside ready to eliminate the resident evil!”
